Description
A pre-roll in a pocket ends the same way every time. Crushed at one end, loose at the other, and smelling like it. The ONGROK Airtight Pocket Case is a hinged, precision-milled aluminum joint holder with a silicone seal and a sprung bar in each half that holds what you put in it still.
A SPRUNG BAR IN EACH HALF
Open it and both sides have a spring-loaded retaining bar across the middle. Whatever you load sits under the bar and stays there, so nothing rolls to one end or gets pinned against a hinge when the case goes in a bag. That is the first thing a joint holder has to do, and it is the thing a plain tin cannot.
A SILICONE O-RING, NOT A FRICTION LID
The lid closes onto a silicone O-ring that compresses as it shuts. A friction lid holds itself closed. A compressed gasket actually restricts airflow, which is what keeps odor in and keeps what is inside from drying out on a long day.
TWO COMPARTMENTS
The clamshell opens into two separate bays rather than one open box. Keep fresh on one side and part-used on the other, or split by strain. Either way nothing ends up loose in a single cavity.
PRECISION-MILLED AIRCRAFT ALUMINUM
Machined aluminum, not stamped tin. It takes keys, a car console and the bottom of a bag without deforming. A dented case is one whose lid never seats properly again.
SLIM ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY CARRY
Flat profile, rounded edges, plain finish. In a jacket or a front pocket it is a slim metal case and nothing more.
IS A JOINT CASE ACTUALLY SMELL PROOF?
Nothing with a hinge is hermetic. What a compressed silicone gasket does is cut airflow at the seam, which is where odor escapes on a hinged case. In a pocket or a bag it holds. Smell resistant is the accurate word for it, and it is the one we use.
KEEPING IT CLEAN
Wipe both bays dry and check the gasket seat every so often, since grit on the seal is what stops a lid closing properly. Wiped out, the case comes back neutral.
